As long as I can remember I’ve had a pen in my hand. Drawing anything and everything I came into contact with. No one was safe from my caricatures and cartoons. I was an addictive doodler and was forever being told to concentrate and stop drawing over every piece of paper that I came into contact with my trusty biro that was always in my hand. I have recently found that doodling is a form of concentration and helps the brain focus. I wish my teachers and parents had known this when I was young. I find the human brain fascinating, which is why I enjoy intuitive art. I have brought my doodling addiction into my art, alongside painting through intuition, imagination, emotion and the sheer joy of creating.

Born in Edinburgh, the wonderful capital city of Scotland, I moved to London at the age of 11 years and now and I am very lucky to live in Hertfordshire. I predominately work in acrylics and oils. My work is built up layer upon layer, sometimes adding collage and marking into the paint, with different tools and other mediums to create unique art.

Ideas form within my mind as I paint and memories of how places or events in life have made me feel often emerge in my paintings. My current work is focused on figures, colours and the relationship between humans and animals. Creatures often show up in my work, where you least expect them. I am fascinated by the power of colour, from how it affects our feelings and emotions, to how colours work together beautifully in life and art. My trade colour is turquoise and in all my paintings you will find this beautiful colour, that reminds me of the stunning turquoise sea and how good it makes you feel.

I am always exploring and experimenting, which is why I have many different styles, however, in all my paintings you will find colour.
